Strengths: fast, stable mobo. RAID capable. Easy setup.
Weakness: No onboard Lan.
This is the first time I've built a machine and I was very pleased with my purchase. I wish it came with onboard lan. The ic7-G does, but I could not justify the price difference for Gigabit lan in my house (as if). 3.2Ghz Intel dual 120GB Maxtor Sata drives All-in-one Radeon 9800 pro 1Gb Corsair XMS mem.
Strengths: Great feature set and worked well initially.
Weakness: System became unreliable after 10 months.
The inital setup of the system went well. I'm running two SATA hard drives, one IDE hard drive, one DVD/CDROM drive, and one DVDRW drive. I like having the flexibility to run that many drives. The problems I ran into started about five or six months after getting it running. First I lost the onboard 1394 capability, a few months later I lost the onboard USB. Finally I starting having problems...
Strengths: i875P chipset, high stability, good performance, decent integrated 6 channel sound, serial ATA-150, easy BIOS tweaking, too many more to list!!!
Weakness: no onboard LAN, louder than normal North Bridge fan but it can be controlled.
Wow, this board offers so much for the price, it made my head spin. Been running one in a 3.0GHz P4 system build for 2 months and I'm impressed by its performance and stability. Many BIOS tweaks for the avid system builder, and plenty of presets for the novice. Comes with round IDE cable, flat FDD cable, and 2 SATA drive cables. Also has an extra 2 port USB with wired & capped connector that fits...
Strengths: SoftMenu, 875P chipset, 800MHZ FSB, SATA, RAID 0/1, 8X AFP, 6 USB ports, Firewire, HTT, SATA cable comes with board.
Weakness: No ECC capability, Not enough power cables sent with the board
Awesome board for the price. Love ABIT mobos, SoftMenu is great. Going to love the Serial ATA-150, Serieal ATA cables come with board thats kewl.
Strengths: very easy to configure.no problems on startup at all.
Weakness: no lan.
this motherboard is one of the best as far as value for the dollar.I put it with a p4 2.6ghz 800fsb processor and kingston ddr400 memory and its one of the fastest systems around.
Strengths: Stable & Fast, Detailed Setup Instructions, Easily Configured Bios w/ numberous options including CPU temp warning and optional automatic system shutdown, IDE and/or SATA, Dual Channel DDR, 1394
Weakness: No onboard Lan, however the board is priced lower than the model with onboard Lan, a fair tradeoff if Lan is not wanted
An economical board that supports 800 FSB and allows more P4 HT processor speed through the Intel 875 chipset and dual DDR. Cable a fast 10,000 rpm SATA drive and a mega gig 7,200 rpm IDE storage drive is possible. Accessories are provided, however if you have an optical IDE drive and a IDE hard drive you will need another IDE cable. Onboard 5.1 audio, 2x,4x,8x,AGP. I did not have to flash the...

ABIT Desktop Motherboard - Intel Intel 82875 MCH...
Strengths: Easy to setup. SATA RAID. Overclocking capabities galore. Intel 875p chipset, 800FSB, HT ready, PAT, Dual Channel DDR, 5.1 Audio, 1394, USB 2.0, Round cables included.
Weakness: No onboard LAN adapter included.
This board was so easy to setup. Just flashed the bios before loading OS and it worked in an hour. The only downside was no included LAN adapter, but I have a few PCI NIC's laying around so I didn't care too much about that. Board has 875 chipset, so Hyper Threading and PAT setup worked flawlessly. This is my first system I built, and I liked the fact it was the easiest to build! Will highly...
